Terms & Conditions (UK)

Welcome to Shoe & Laundry Wash Co. By using our laundry wash & fold and trainers cleaning services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Shoe & Laundry Wash Co.
“Customer” refers to any person submitting items for cleaning.
“Items” refers to garments, trainers, footwear, and textiles submitted for cleaning.
“Services” refers to all cleaning services provided by Shoe & Laundry Wash Co.

2. Acceptance of Items

All items are accepted subject to these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to
refuse cleaning of any item that may:
Pose a health or safety risk
Be unsuitable for cleaning
Cause damage to equipment or other items

3. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:
Emptying all pockets before submitting items
Informing us of delicate fabrics or special care instructions
Informing us of pre-existing damage
We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings left in items.

4. Service Standards

We provide services using reasonable care and skill in accordance with UK professional
standards.

However, we do not guarantee:
Complete stain removal
Prevention of shrinkage or fading
Full restoration to original condition
Results may vary depending on fabric condition and age.

5. Trainers Cleaning Policy

Due to the construction and materials used in trainers, we cannot guarantee against:
Sole separation
Colour fading or dye bleeding
Cracking or weakening of materials
Older and heavily worn trainers carry higher cleaning risks.

6. Pre-existing Damage

We are not responsible for damage caused by:
Weak or worn materials
Manufacturer defects
Prior damage
Normal wear and tear
Cleaning may reveal hidden defects.

7. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times are estimates only and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to
operational or external factors beyond our control.

8. Collection and Inspection

Customers must inspect items upon collection.
Any claims for loss or damage must be reported within 48 hours of collection.

9. Uncollected Items

Items not collected within 90 days may be considered abandoned and may be donated or disposed of without compensation.

10. Payment Terms

Payment must be made before collection unless otherwise agreed.
We reserve the right to retain items until payment is received.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Where we are found liable for loss or damage caused by negligence, our liability shall be
limited to the lower of:
Fair market value of the item (based on age and condition), or 10 times the cleaning charge for that item
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

12. Legal Rights

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
